Kristin Guilliams is an Assistant Professor of Neurology, Pediatrics, and Radiology.  She received her undergraduate degree in neuroscience from Furman University and her medical degree from the University of Virginia. She completed her child neurology residency and pediatric critical care fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. Guilliams leads the Pediatric Stroke Program at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and serves on the BJC HealthCare System Stroke Clinical Excellence Council. She is a member of the International Pediatric Stroke Organization, where she co-chairs the Acute Management Research group, and the Pediatric Neurocritical Care Research Group. Her translational imaging lab investigates changes of blood flow and oxygen use in the brain throughout childhood in children with and without sickle cell disease to better understand mechanisms of pediatric stroke.
